When a filling helps

Common reasons for a filling.

  • A cavity found at a checkup
  • A small chip or crack in a tooth
  • A worn edge on a tooth
  • An old filling that is broken or worn

What to expect

Your filling, step by step.

  1. We check the tooth

We examine the tooth, take an x-ray if needed, and explain your options.

  2. Your comfort first

We make sure you're comfortable before we start, and check in with you throughout.

  3. We repair the tooth

We clean the tooth and shape a tooth-coloured filling to match it.

  4. We check your bite

A special light sets the filling, then we check that your bite feels right.
