When a filling helps

Common reasons for a filling.

  • A cavity found at a checkup
  • A small chip or crack in a tooth
  • A worn edge on a tooth
  • An old filling that is broken or worn

What to expect

Your filling, step by step.

  1. We check the tooth

We examine the tooth, take an x-ray if needed, and explain your options and the cost.

  2. We freeze the area

We numb the tooth so you're comfortable, and check in with you throughout.

  3. We repair the tooth

We remove the decay and shape a tooth-coloured filling to match your tooth.

  4. We check your bite

A special light sets the filling, then we check that your bite feels right.
