What to expect

What happens at an urgent visit.

  1. Tell us what's going on

Let us know what happened and how it feels, so we can find the earliest time to see you.

  2. We find the cause

We examine the area and take x-rays if they're needed.

  3. We explain your options

We go over what we found, your choices and the cost before anything is done.

  4. We take care of it

We deal with the urgent problem first, then plan any follow-up care with you.

Bring any broken pieces of tooth, or a crown that has come off, with you to your visit.

Questions

Good to know.

What counts as a dental emergency?
Pain, a broken tooth, swelling, or a lost filling or crown are all good reasons to get in touch soon. If you're unsure, ask us.
Can a lost filling wait?
It usually isn't an emergency, but it's best looked at soon so the tooth doesn't break down further.
Will my insurance cover an urgent visit?
Many plans cover emergency exams and treatment, but coverage varies. We'll explain any cost before treatment begins.
