Your options

Two ways to restore a smile.

Crowns

A crown covers and protects a tooth that is cracked, heavily filled or weakened, for example after root canal treatment.

Bridges

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by attaching to the teeth on either side of the gap.

What to expect

Usually two visits.

  1. Exam and options

We check the tooth or gap, take x-rays if needed, and explain your options and the cost.

  2. We prepare the tooth

We numb the area, shape the tooth and take a precise impression.

  3. A temporary first

A temporary crown or bridge protects the tooth while yours is being made.

  4. Fitting

At your second visit, we fit and adjust your crown or bridge so it feels right.

We'll also explain other ways to replace a missing tooth, and refer you where needed.

Questions

Good to know.

Will a crown look natural?
We choose a shade and shape to blend with your natural teeth.
How long does a crown last?
With good home care and regular checkups, crowns can last many years.
Does insurance cover crowns and bridges?
Coverage varies. We can send a pre-treatment estimate to your insurer so you know your costs first.
